Lalita lives in Assam, India. She works as a tea plucker. Many families living in tea gardens lack access to essential services, such as clean water and adequate sanitation facilities.
Twinings works with producers and not-for-profit organisations to construct toilets for families on the tea gardens, so people like Lalita can have the privacy they rightfully deserve.
“With support from this project, we have been able to construct a new toilet and a bathroom unit.
My daughter and I are much happier, and we can now take a bath inside a secure bathroom of our own.”
